In support of Bret Harte Middle School's committment to maintaining the privacy of its students and community members, BretHarte.net pledges to enforce the following operating guidelines:
- No student names will be published on the BretHarte.net.
- Pictures of individual students will be removed at the request of the particular child's parent or guardian.
- Telephone numbers and email addresses not associated with Bret Harte Middle School or the SJUSD will not be published on this site.
- If employed by BretHarte.net, cookies will not be used for monitoring the activities of individuals.
- Any requests for "weblogs", "access logs" or the like made by recognized law enforcement agencies, courts of law or by the SJUSD will be honored without reservation.
- Any links from BretHarte.net but not beginning with the domain name "BretHarte.net" are not the responsibility of BHMS. The most that BretHarte.net can do to address problems or concerns regarding these sites is to remove the links from BretHarte.net. Issues of this sort should be brought to the attention of the site WebMaster and will be rapidly serviced.
- Any questions relating to whether particular pages within this site are adhering to this policy will be dealt with as a high-priority item.
- The terms of this policy are subject to change without notice.
A note about BretHarte.net and AlmadenWeb.com
- BretHarte.net is the responsibility of Bret Harte Middle School and the SJUSD, which are responsible for its content.
- The relationship between BretHarte.net and AlmadenWeb.com is that of client and hosting service.
- The WebMaster of BretHarte.net will take normal care to enforce the Privacy Policy as described herein.
