Participation

Who can participate:	Bret Harte Girls - 6th -8th grade No failing grades Must have 2.0 grade average or higher
Fee:	$80.00 w/eScrip
Team make up:	One Varsity Team, 6th -8th

Dates & Times

Softball is a nine week season running throughout September and October
Practices are Monday through Thursday, 2:45 - 4:00
Late bus leaves at 4:10
Games are held on Tuesday & Thursday, 3:30 - 5:00
Players must arrange their own rides home after games
No accused absences on game day, excused practices prior to games will result in not playing first innings.

A Few Simple Rules

Pitching is a Modified Fast Pitch:
- Motion underhanded toss.
- No whipped or side slung in any fashion.
- No bend of wrist (fast pitch)
No stealing or bunting
Games are 6 inning or 1 1/2 hours
No dropped 3rd strike
Slide feet first, returning to base, may slide hand first
10 players allowed on field
